I cannot confirm without ordering the item(s) whether there is a caption or some information in the music

supporting the link to Queen Victoria. If you want me to do this, please let me know. Your relative seems

to have died in 1899, so his published works are out of copyright, and you can order a copy of these two

compositions, if you wish.

You can apply for copies (subject to any preservation restrictions) direct from our Reproductions Department (Imaging Services). Please see their internet pages at http://www.bl.uk/imaging/index.html, where you will find information on procedure, pricing, and an online application form. Subject: March composed for Queen Victoria

My mother who has passed away told me that my great great grandfather composed a march for Queen Victoria entitled Gloire De Dijon. His surname was Andrews, first name Enus I think. Does such a piece of music exist? I would be grateful for any information

Music Written by Andrew Enos

As soon as possible we will add Andrew's music to this page

Great research thanks Phil Benn please keep going.

I did further research yesterday (it was a slow day at work), and
found that Enos Andrew composed and copywrited some 20+ musical
pieces as listed below.  The links below also point to copies of his
music which I found in the National Library of Canada after much
searching, and there is a copy of Gloire De Dijon although it is a
little blurry.  It may well be enough for me to start work on.

The Canadian link is due to Enos publishing his work with the Anglo-
Canadian Music Co., who were basically set up in the late 1800s to
work around a legal loophole.  Royalty Free copies of  British work
were arriving via US publishers, and once British composers began
publishing in Canada it invoked a law where US organisations could
not copy Canadian works.  I think Enos would have received about 1
old penny per copy sold in Canada as his royalties, according to
documents I have read.
